Ade Oshineye, co-author of the book Apprentice Patterns: Guidance For the Aspiring Software Craftsman, will be holding a seminar on how to begin an apprenticeship as an aspiring craftsman in the world of deadlines and jobs that take almost all of our time.
The seminar will take place on Sunday the 17th of May at 13:00 BST in the NexWerk Workshop (London, UK).
- In this seminar Ade will:
- describe the journey to software craftsmanship
- give advice on tools of the trade
- suggest ways of growing and maintaining your skills for the journey
- describe ways of incorporating “deliberate practice” into your professional life
The seminar will also feature Paul Pagel from 8th Light as a special guest. He has come all the way from Chicago to share his company’s perspective on apprenticeship.
Corey Haines and Dave Hoover will join over videoconference to give their insights about apprenticeship outside a workshop / studio.
